Do you speak American [English (US)]? or French, or English (AU) — WiFi login should be smart enough to let the user read in their native tongue.

Many people think about localisation (localization) based on physical location. We think about it at the individual person in a physical location.

Here at PoweredLocal, we are huge believers in user-first technology. That is, we design for best usability by the end user — not the business first. This creates a win-win. We have the industry’s highest conversions of opt-ins and data completion.

No matter if you are using a native device, a Ubiquiti UniFi, Aruba, Meraki, Ruckus, MikroTik, Cisco, or any other hardware solution, the WiFi login pages need to be easy to read. Easy for the user to use.

So obviously, we make our login pages automatically translate to the user’s default native language on their phone or laptop. So you might be a French speaker in a Chinese tea-house in Texas, and the business does not have to think about if they should use English (US), Chinese or French to present the WiFi login page in, it will show you in the language you have set on your phone or laptop.

We do this by running our own localizations. We didn’t want to rely on Google Translate or some other service, so we actually hire native speakers of each language to build out translation libraries that are localised with not just a technical translation, but a functional translation.

The specific native translations in our library include
